The grounds may be closed on occasion due to private events, inclement weather, and other factors. Please check our website for the latest updates before your visit. Closure notices will be posted at the top of the site.

Cranbrook Gardens Hours & Admission: Self-Guided

*Weather permitting. We typically close the restrooms, pull the garden beds, turn off fountains, and cover sculptures by mid-October. Nearby restrooms are available during the off-season at Cranbrook Art Museum and Cranbrook Institute of Science during their normal hours. Cranbrook House restrooms are only open to guests attending events in the manor. The restrooms are usually opened by the end of April or early May. Gardens are planted near the end of May. A notice will be displayed at the top of our website if the grounds are closed due to inclement weather.

    Cranbrook House Hours & Admission

    Cranbrook House is only open to the public during scheduled guided tours and other select special events. Please visit our Tour Calendar for the current schedule and to make a reservation.

    • Cranbrook House & Gardens Auxiliary Members: Free
    • Cranbrook Academy of Art and Cranbrook Schools Students: Free
    • Cranbrook Educational Community Employees: Free
    • Explore Cranbrook Members: Free
    • AHS RAP Members: Free (reciprocal benefit applies to two people for dual or household memberships)
    • In partnership with Museums for All, Cranbrook House tours are free for those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits). Please register online and show your EBT (Michigan Bridge) card when you arrive to receive free admission for you and up to three guests.
